Signature Excursions
Adjuntas: Community Self-Management and Environmental Conservation
This educational experience excursion aims to familiarize students with Casa Pueblo’s community development model and immerse them in the humid forest of Puerto Rico’s mountain range. This tour explores the community projects of Casa Pueblo in Adjuntas, including a visit to its headquarters, a guided tour through the Bosque Escuela (School Forest), and a tour of the town’s recreational plaza. The excursion includes a buffet lunch in a local restaurant.

Loiza: Coastal Ecosystem and Afro-Ancestry
This excursion aims to explore the coastal ecosystem of Loíza and the Afro-Caribbean traditions of this area. Students will visit the Piñones State Forest to explore the ecosystem of this coastal tropical forest. The excursion also visit María de la Cruz Historical Park, where professional guides will offer interpretive tours of a cave and cultural workshops on Afro-Caribbean traditions. The tour includes lunch at a local restaurant in the Piñones area.

Old San Juan: Colonial History and World Heritage Site
In this educational excursion, participants will gain a deeper perspective of Puerto Rico’s colonial history over the last five centuries. The tour also focuses on the cultural value of Old San Juan’s historic architecture. Participants will enjoy a guided visit to the interior of Castillo San Felipe del Morro. Lunch at a local restaurant is included as part of the experience.

Santurce Art Tour, from the Barrio to the Museum
This educational excursion explores the history and culture of Puerto Rico through the artwork of Puerto Rican Artists. As part of this experience, participants will visit calle Cerra to appreciate the murals created by local and international artists as part of the art festival Santurce es Ley. Additionally, the excursion offers a guided tour at the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico to enjoy the paintings and sculptures of Puerto Rican artists from the 18th Century to the present. On the bus, there will be sightseeing opportunities at Centro de Bellas Artes, the Central School of Visual Arts, and the Contemporary Art Museum. The experience also includes a stroll through the Placita de Santurce area and lunch at a local restaurant on the lively Calle Loíza.

All of our tours are designed to provide accommodation for people in wheelchairs. The places visited, as well as the sidewalks and streets used during our walking tours, are accessible to wheelchairs. The tours that include transportation are operated in a 22-passenger bus with safe accommodation for two wheelchairs. We recommend motorized wheelchairs to make the experience more easy-going. In our educational and corporate tour, we offer either to cover meal expenses as part of the tour package or to stop at locations with a wide variety of food offerings where individuals can pay for their own meals. Please inform us in advance about any dietary restrictions or preferences.

Our educational and corporate tours are designed to be flexible to fit your group's schedule. We offer both full-day and half-day tours and can adjust the itinerary around your time constraints. Let us know your preferred timing, and we'll arrange the rest. Our daily tours have a fixed starting time and itinerary. Our guides strive in keeping the tour pace to meet the ending time of the tour, however depending on the group's pace and unforeseen circumstances such as traffic or weather the tour ending time could be delayed up to 30 minutes.
The tour gets canceled in advance only if there is a storm or a flooding warning issued by the National Weather Service. If a tour is canceled by the tour operator due to poor weather, you will be offered an alternative date to reschedule or a full refund. Otherwise, our tour operates “rain or shine”; we recommend coming prepared for our tropical weather conditions. We prioritize the safety and comfort of our travelers and will provide timely updates if changes are necessary.
Our tours accommodate up to 20 participants, with an average group size of around 10. Each guide uses a portable speaker to ensure clear communication and an engaging experience for all participants. Corporate and educational tours can accommodate more than 20 participants per guide, depending on the client’s needs and budget.
Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, along with sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats for sun protection. Participants should also bring a sweet snack and water bottles to stay hydrated before, during, and after the tour. A light backpack is recommended for personal items and any educational materials needed.
